How the season works
- 1
Unlock the Top cup
The Top cup is for the top 50 on the ladder. Play 10 ranked matches in the week to unlock that weekend's cup; the same 10 matches make your ladder place count for points (best 10 of 15 weeks).
- 2
Play it when you are online
A weekend league of 5 to 9 matches, each on its own seed. Swiss pairing matches you with players on the same record; ties go to whoever beat stronger opponents.
- 3
Get into a Major
The top 48 on playoff points are in. Anyone else can play the open qualifier the week before for the last 16 places.
- 4
Earn playoff points
20% from the ladder, 30% from Top cups (best 6 of 12) and 50% from Majors.
- 5
Win the playoffs
The top 16 on points play single elimination, ending in a best-of-seven grand final. Only the playoffs crown a champion, and they pay money and cosmetics.
- 6
Other ranks
Players outside the top 50 have their own weekend cups for cosmetic rewards. They give no playoff points.
