Choose a pack

Most players want the basic pack. The install steps below follow your choice.

The packs are Modrinth packs (.mrpack) that fetch each mod from Modrinth; the copy on this site is a fallback. They work on Windows, macOS and Linux, and on macOS the basic pack uses Sodium's Mac build.

Install it in your launcher

Pick the launcher you use. Splitstone has no launcher of its own.

    Its own instance

    Keep Splitstone apart from MCSR Ranked. Ranked won't start beside mods that aren't on the speedrun.com legal list, and it brings its own copies of some mods in our packs.

    Why not CurseForge?

    CurseForge packs can only include mods hosted on CurseForge or its approved list, which leaves out most speedrun builds.

    What happens next

    From first launch to your first match.

    1Launch

    Start the instance. Splitstone replaces the title screen with your dashboard.

    2Agree

    The first time, read the rules and privacy policy, tick "I am 13 or older" and agree.

    3Queue

    Pick Ranked 1v1 and get matched with a player near your rating.

    Download once

    Only the latest version can join matches, and Splitstone updates itself in game, so you never come back here for an update.

    Speedrun.com runs stay separate

    For speedrun.com categories, Splitstone closes and opens your own legal instance, so these packs never touch those runs.
